/PanARMENIAN.Net/ "Negotiation process on NKR conflict settlement is
already lunched. Several years ago we witnessed meetings between Azeri
and Armenian leaders, but not the conflict settlement process, Head
of Analytical Center for Globalization and Regional Collaboration,"
Stepan Grigoryan told a news conference in Yerevan.

"During negotiations MG OSCE Co-Chairs proposed a new formula for
conflict settlement based on principles of territorial integrity,
right for self-determination and non-use of force. Turkey’s active
participation in the process has also played an important role,"
he noted.

"Armenia and Azerbaijan gave a positive assessment to their meeting in
Prague. Yet, later, the Azeri part, having realized that negotiations
have taken an unfavorable course for Azerbaijan, characterized
Yerevan’s position as destructive."

"The right course would be for Yerevan and Baku to take more
efforts in achieving a peaceful settlement, instead of focusing on
Madrid principles, perceived subjectively on each part – Azerbaijan
supporting the idea of territorial integrity, and Armenia – that of
self-determination right."

"NKR will sooner or later participate in negotiations. Armenia has
to pave the way for NKR’s re-involvement in negotiation process,"
Stepan Grigoryan concluded.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
