BLAST IN ARMENIA’S CHEMICAL PLANT KILLS TWO, INJURES SEVEN – TV

Monoacetylated gas exploded [in Armenia’s chemical industry giant]
Nairit which is used in the fist phase of rubber production and kept
in a special apparatus under high pressure.
One of the production facilities of the plant was destroyed in the
explosion. The medical and rescue services immediately arrived in
the scene of the incident. A medical service is being rendered to
those who suffered in the explosion. The explosion is assessed as
the highest degree blast.
The press service of the Nairit plant officially reported that the
blaze has been eliminated and rescue work is under way. According to
preliminary reports, three people have died and another seven injured.
