/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Preliminary studies conducted on the territory
of Nairit plant revealed no environmental pollution risks, Marzpet
Kamalyan, Deputy Head of State Environmental Inspection under Nature
Protection Ministry, told journalists. According to him, relevant
specialists immediately arrived in the scene of action, and one of
them even assisted in the rescue team’s operations.

"The final results of blast impacts on water resources and environment
will be posted on the Ministry’s official Web site," he said. In
that connection, Mr. Kamalyan added that burnt chemicals cannot have
serious environmental impact. "As a rule, organic substances are not
burned by fire. Emissions of small amount of substances are possible,
but that doesn’t lead to environmental pollution," he said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
