Will the Armenian National Congress receive 52% of the votes or
not? This was the main topic of today’s dispute between sociologist
Aharon Adibekyan and former MP Aghasi Arshakyan.
"The rating of the Armenian National Congress is higher than
sociologists present. It reaches 52%, just as much as Aharon Adibekyan
predicts for the Republican Party," Aghasi Arshakyan said.
Sociologist Aharon Adibekyan objected to the remark, saying that
"the elections of the Yerevan Mayor differ from all other elections,
and the public will not vote for the candidate that lost in the
presidential elections."
"Levon Ter-Petrosyan received 32% of the votes in the presidential
elections, while he will receive just half of it this time, because he
does not address issues the Mayor should address: street illumination,
garbage collection, etc," Mr. Adibekyan said.
"I would sign under your words if this were a contest of asphalters,"
Aghasi Arshakyan responded.
