The Ambassador of Croatia presents the copies of her credentials to
Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Karine Kazinian

On May 18, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Karine Kazinian received
Vesna Cvjetkovic-Kurelec, the newly appointed Ambassador of Croatia to
Armenia (residence in Athens) on the occasion of presenting the copies
of her credentials.

In her welcoming remarks, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister wished her
a success in her diplomatic mission and expressed hope that the
appointment of a new ambassador can give a serious stimulus in
development and deepening of Armenian-Croatian bilateral relations.
Karine Kazinian mentioned that Armenia attaches importance to the
further development and expansion of relationship with Croatia within
bilateral and international formats.

On her turn, Ambassador Cvjetkovic-Kurelec stressed the necessity for
activation of political dialogue on the issues of mutual interest.

In the course of the meeting, the two also touched upon the
possibilities of Armenian-Croatian cooperation within the frameworks
of EU initiatives – Eastern Partnership and EU Black Sea programs.

On the guest’s request Karine Kazinian presented the process of
normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations, as well as they had a
discussion on the settlement of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
