Hay ART culture center is holding today a pictorial exhibition under
heading "Yerevan -my love". People who love Yerevan are invited to
the exhibition.

The exhibition with its more than 60 works of 50 artists aims at
underlining the importance of love that Yerevan needs most of all.

"The exhibition presenting more than 60 works of artists of younger,
middle-aged and older generations is a peculiar protestation of the
idea that all of us need badly and most of all our capital – love for
our city, country", Director of Hay ART culture center Rita Sharoyan
told "Azg" daily.

She also informed that People’s Artists Hakob Hakobian, Varuzhan
Vardanian, Arkadi Baghdasarian (Arko), Hrant Tadevosian, Haroutiun
Haroutiunian, Mari Hakobian, Samvel Sevada and others’ works would
be exhibited.

Yerevan Chamber Choir (art director – Haroutiun Topikian) and Mihr
Theatre of Dance Plastics will perform at the opening ceremony of
the exhibition.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
