VIVACELL-MTS MAY CHANGE ITS BRAND TO MTS-ARMENIA

ArmInfo. VivaCell-MTS, subsidiary of Russian MTS company, may change
its brand to MTS-Armenia by 2010, Director General of VivaCell-MTS
Ralph Yirikian said today during a meeting with students of Armenian
State Economic University.
In Aug 2008 VivaCell brand was changed to VivaCell-MTS. Yirikian
said that, when joining MTS group, VivaCell decided to familiarize
Armenian subscribers with MTS brand and its quality. That’s why,
today, the company uses both brands. In the future VivaCell brand
will be removed. However, since the company wants its brand to remain
Armenian, it is considering the possibility of replacing it with
not just MTS but MTS-Armenia. Presently, VivaCell-MTS is conducting
different polls among its subscribers to see which of the brands they
prefer. The final decision will be based on the results of the survey.
