YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. John Hatch, founder of the Washington-based
FINCA International Inc., plans to arrive in Armenia on May 24 on a
four-day visit to get closely acquainted with the activities of the
organization’s Armenian branch and meet with clients.

Hatch will meet with Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA)
Arthur Javadyan and WB Yerevan Office Head Aristomene Varoudakis.

On March 28, 2006, FINCA International established FINCA Universal
Credit Organization in Armenia.

FINCA International provides financial services to the world’s
lowest-income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets
and improve their standard of living. The organization has branches
in 21 countries.

FINCA UCO aims at backing small-to-medium-scale businesses, as well as
improving the living conditions and open new employment opportunities
in Armenia.

The organization has 16 offices across Armenia, offering services to
32,000 clients. FINCA’s loan portfolio amounts to 9bln drams. ($1 –
372.48 drams)
