The meeting of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsjan with the
President of Croatia Styepan Messitch took place today. On the meeting
were signed bilateral agreements. After meeting, the presidents gave a
joint press conference. Serzh Sargsyan answered questions concerning
the Armenian-Turkish relations and concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict.
"I don’t think that the position of the Republic of Armenia became
hardened in the negotiations with Azerbaijan. As we know, the pivotal
question in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is the question of its
status.
Making this question clearer at the negotiations, does not mean
that the position of the Republic of Armenia became hardened in
the negotiations with Azerbaijan. We are ready to continue the
negotiations. As you know, our next meeting with the president of
Azerbaijan will take place in the beginning of June, in all probability
in Saint – Petersburg. I hope, after this meeting the mass media in
Azerbaijan will not say, that Armenia made its position hardened in
the negotiations with Azerbaijan". What about the Armenian-Turkish
relations, president Sargsyan said, that the solutions of the hard
problems are also hard to find.
