Nig Aparan Expatriates Community will hold a number of events in
honor of Bash Aparan defense. "The event will start with a wreath
laying ceremony at the memorial to Sedrak Chashyan and Drastamat
Kanayan and a monument to Aparan volunteers who were killed during
Artsakh liberation. Sardarapat victory was won on May 26, battles
at Bash Aparan lasted till May 29. But, as on May 28, 1918, Turkish
troops were hurled back from Armenia, this is the day we celebrate
the victory," Nig Aparan Expatriates Community Head, Tigran Petrosyan
told a news conference.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
