The special commission created by President of the RA National
Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan summed-up the results of the
"Best Scientific Work" awards and the winners received 1.5 million
drams respectively.

The awards ceremony was organized by the World Armenian Congress, the
Union of Armenians of Russia and the RA National Academy of Sciences
and sponsored by the "Tashir group of companies". The winners are
classified according to the following five categories as reported by
the press service of the RA National Academy of Sciences:

Armenian Studies: Albert Kharatyan-"Armenian settlement of
Constantinople (XV-XII centuries)"

Social Sciences: Avag Harutyunyan- "Viniculture in Armenia"

Informatics and Technical Sciences: Yuri Avetisyan-"Generation
of terahertz radiation in the crystals of homogenous, cyclic and
non-cyclic polarized lithium nyobat"

Exact Sciences: Hamlet Avetisyan and co-author Garnik Lazarian-"The
spontane radiation self-powering quantum regimes of X-ray Compton
lasers"

Natural Sciences: Tigran Kurtikyan-"Reactions of nitrogen oxides in
the 5-coordinated FeIII (Por) nitrite Fe (Por) (ONO) sublimed layers
with midway connection".
