Armenia’s CEC data: 90 thsd 450 Yerevan residents, entitled to vote,
took part in voting on election for Council of Elders as of 11:00 AM

ArmInfo. According to the data of Armenia’s Central Election
Committee, 90 thsd 450 voters or 11,72% of the number of Yerevan
residents, being entitled to vote, took part in the voting on election
for the Council of Elders as of 11:00 AM.

To recall, the total number of voters, according to the Police data,
makes up 771,477. Total of 439 election precincts are functioning. Six
political parties and one bloc stand in the election. The election are
held on a proportional system, that is, on party lists. The Council of
Elders will consist of 65 members. The first candidate for Yerevan
Elders in the list of the party, which received the majority of votes,
automatically becomes Yerevan Mayor. About 30 local monitoring
organizations, as well as the delegation of CE Congress of Local and
Regional Authorities will monitor the course of voting.
