movement’s leader Dr. Mahmoudali Chehreganli , currently political
emigrant in US, rules out possibility of any ideological changes in
Iran’s policy.
`Elections and presidency are a special kind of show for Iran. All
those reformers and conservators represent the pro-Government
camp. For instance, moderate clergy representative Mehdi Karrubi,
ex-premier Mir-Hossein Mousavi and incumbent president Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad do not significantly differ from one another in question,’
Chehreganli said in an interview to Day.az.
Azeri activist does not expect Iran to establish warmer ties with his
country after presidential elections. Armenia and Armenians are Iran’s
strategic partners. As to Iran-Azerbaijan relations, no changes are
expected in that regard, he said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
