Crisis Management Center To Open In Armenia

CRISIS MANAGEMENT CENTER TO OPEN IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JUNE 8, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Emergency Situations Ministry
is planning to open "Crisis Management Center". Consultant to the
director of Rescue Service of the Ministry, Colonel Nikolay Grigoryan
told Armenpress that the experience of a number of countries of the
world has been studied and all the professional potential of the
republic will be used in the center, new information technologies
will be applied.

"At present we have such a center but the new one will be more powerful
and very contemporary: it will involve all the ministries of the
republic, provinces and communities," N. Grigoryan said. According
to him, it will give an opportunity to make the management of
different emergency situations, crises more effective. He said that
for preventing the emergency situations, bringing their consequences
to the minimum, save people’s life, health and property the Armenian
Rescue Service cooperates with all international organizations and
with about 30 states.

Recently NATO expert in crisis management sphere Jan Malder arrived
in Yerevan and met with representatives of a number of ministries,
institutions aiming to support in the creation of Crisis Management
Center within the framework of Armenia-NATO individual partnership.
