ArmInfo. Today, Parliament of Armenia introduced alterations and
amendments to the Law ‘On Fixed Payments’ in the first reading.

As one of the document authors, MP Robert Tovmasyan said, the draft law
purposes to settle the problems related to LPG filling stations. So,
according to the current law, the owners of LPG filling stations pay
1,5 mln drams from every ‘pistol’ in the form of fixed payments to
the state budget.

This circumstance causes non-interest of LPG filling stations’ owners
in installation of new ‘pistols’, that leads to creation of queues. The
draft law offers to transfer the gas filling stations to the common
taxation field, that will allow to increase the budget deductions,
on one hand, and avoid queues- on the other.

At present, there are over 200 LPG filling stations in Armenia. To
note, the government of Armenia argued against adoption of the document
as it is.
