‘There are no problems in the relationship between Georgia and Armenia
that cannot be solved through talks’, the Minister of Foreign Affairs
of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, told journalists after the meeting
with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze in Tbilisi on Monday.
Georgnian media reported that the sides discussed the upcoming
visit of the Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili, to Armenia
(June 25-26). Georgian and Armenian Foreign Ministers also touched
upon the number of issues of bilateral relations. Georgian Foreign
Minister, in turn pointed out that meetings between the Georgian and
Armenian Foreign Ministers would become more frequent and that would
make for strengthening and deepening bilateral relations between the
two states. E. Nalbandian drew attention to the legislative basis. He
thinks it does not need revision. However, in case of any novelties,
some corrections can be made to the legislative base. He said. In
addition, the minister said, a week of Armenian culture is planned
in Georgia.
