/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Any democracy and human rights sanctions against
Armenia should be directed against the country’s Government which
is responsible for the existing situation, ANC coordinator Levon
Zourabyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent, commenting upon
Millennium Challenges Corporation’s (MCC) decision to suspend funding
project for Armenia. "The whole problem is that those sanctions are
against Armenian people’s vs. Government’s interests, that’s why I
am against the decision," Mr. Zourabyan stressed.

American Millennium Challenges (MC) corporation suspends its funding
project. Such decision was adopted during directors’ board meeting
presided over by Hillary Clinton. As mentioned by corporation’s
General Director Rodney Benta, responsibility for the decision lies
upon Armenian Government which does not act in conformity with the
Corporation’s principles aimed at developing democratic governance,
US State Department’s Press Service reports.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
