Armenian school leavers’ awarding ceremony held in Pasadena

PASADENA, JUNE 12, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. Pasadena secondary
schools’ Armenian leavers awarding ceremony took place on June 3 at the
Armenian Center of Pasadena with the assistance of Archbishop Mushegh
Martirosian.

The event was held by the pastor and trustees of Saint Sargis Church in
Pasadena. The traditional event has been held 20 years running. The
members of the district’s ARFD Lernavayr committee and representatives
of organizations and unions of Pasadena, Mayor of Pasadena Bill Bogard,
representative of Congressman Adam Schiff Hayk Gartunian and others
were present at the event.

According to the Asbarez daily, over 50 students were given diplomas.
Partev Gyulumian conveyed the blessings of His Holiness and priest
Khoren Paposhian blessed the tables. The four best pupils were honoured
with stipends. Then the school leavers were given letters of
acknowledgements and souvenirs.
