Leader of the "New Times" Party Aram Karapetyan spoke about domestic
and foreign policy issues today. He is not satisfied with the process
of development of the Armenian-Turkish relations. The leader of the
party is not content with the developments on the domestic political
field, either.

He sees political motives in the core of the possible amnesty. He
considers that the dissolution of the fact-finding group and the
amnesty will close the page of March 1.

"We are involved in a Turkey-Azerbaijan game. They were pretending
to have bad relations, but there are the United States and Israel
standing behind all this. We could face the problem of survival by
getting involved in this game without enjoying the support of the
United States or Russia," Aram Karapetyan said, commenting on the
Armenian-Turkish relations.

The opposition needs to be transformed, Aram Karapetyan considers. The
"New Times" Party will not join the Armenian National Congress,
it is a separate opposition front, the leader of the party said.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
