Georgia’s gas and transport company will suspend gas flows to Armenia
from June 16 to June 21, Armenia’s gas distributor ArmRusGasProm
reports.

The Georgian company plans to conjunct the new section of
Kazakh-Saguramo gas main.

"During this period, the country will consume the gas stored in the
Abovyan-based storage," the ArmRusGasProm press service says.

Established in 1997, Armenia’s gas distribution monopoly ArmRusGasProm
is owned by the Russian gas giant Gazprom (80%) and the RA Government
(20%).

Russian natural gas supplies to Armenia pass through the territory
of Georgia.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
