STEPAN SAFARYAN: THE PROGRAM PRESENTED BY THE FIRST PRESIDENT DOES NOT SOLVE ISSUES THE OPPOSITION FACES

"The 12-point program Levon Ter-Petrosyan declared about at the last
rally does not solve the problems the opposition faces," member of
the "Heritage" faction, MP Stepan Safaryan told a press conference
today. He said the "Heritage" Party would discuss the issue and issue
a statement.

Turning to other domestic political issues, Stepan Safaryan said:
"The force in power – the Republican Party of Armenia – has become more
self-confident after the last elections to the Yerevan City Council.

Obviously, their primary impression is that the opposition presents no
danger to the authorities. The second conclusion they have drawn is
that there is no need in searching for solutions to different issues
through cooperation and there is no need in solving the issues on
the political agenda of Armenia."
