TATUL MANASERYAN: THE CRISIS NOT JUST A DISASTER, BUT ALSO AN OPPORTUNITY

"The crisis is not only a disaster, but also an opportunity,"
economist, Adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly on Economic
Issues Tatul Manaseryan considers. According to him, Armenia has
necessary potential in order not to allow the fall to be strong.
Speaking about the $500 million stabilization loan from Russia, Tatul
Manaseryan underlined that it should be made clear which spheres the
credit will be allocated to and which are the standards used when
distributing the credit resources.
Tatul Manaseryan considers that some legislative changes are
needed, especially with regard to the creation of free economic
zones. According to him, not everything in Armenian economy is dark
and gloomy.
According to Tatul Manaseryan, the Government’s anti-crisis program
should be implemented by soberly assessing the reality. It is
necessary to provide the credits to the development of the spheres,
which are important from the perspective of the further development of
economy. The small and medium-sized businesses should be encouraged
first, because the sphere plays a decisive role in the development
of economy.
