SYRIAN PRESIDENT ARRIVES IN ARMENIA

Syrian President Bashar al-Asad has arrived in Armenia on a two-day
official visit at the invitation of Armenian counterpart Serzh
Sargsyan, Armenia’s private TV station Shant reported on 17 June.

The TV said that an official welcome ceremony was being held outside
the Armenian president’s residence and that it would be followed by
a one-to-one meeting between the two presidents today.

The Armenian and Syrian official delegations are expected to meet later
and sign a few intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements,
the report added.
