On June 21, RA NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamian met with Foreign Minister of
United Arab Emirates Abdallah bin Zayed al Nahayan, who is in Yerevan
on a working visit. At the meeting, the interlocutors highly assessed
the level of bilateral political relations and expressed satisfaction
on that occasion. At the same time they said that interparliamentary
contacts should be developed and mutual visits of the two countries’
legislators should be organized.

Touching upon the world financial-economic crisis, the sides held
the same opinion that in consideration of that challenge, Yerevan
and Adu Dhabi should continue developing bilateral trade and economic
cooperation and implementation of mutual investments.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
