/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Turkey pursues an equivocal policy towards
Armenia, which is explained by Ankara being a hostage to Turkey in
Armenian-Turkish relations issue, Turgut Kerem Tuncel Istanbul Bilgi
University Professor told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

"Turkey is unwilling to lose Azerbaijan not because of ethnic
or religious connections, but, first of all, based on economic
interests. We have to resign ourselves to reality, and in reality
Azerbaijan has energy resources Turkey is interested in," Turkish
expert emphasized.

Tuncel cited as an example Turkish Prime Minister’s visit to Baku right
upon "road map" agreement publication. "It was then that we witnessed
Baku’s reaction to possible Armenian-Turkish rapprochement, so Turkish
Premier went to comfort the Azeri part right away," Turgut Kerem Tuncel
noted. Nevertheless, the Turkish expert expressed confidence that RA
President will definitely pay a return visit to Turkey to be present
at a football match between Armenian and Turkish teams. "The process
initiated by football diplomacy should be continued," he stated.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
