AMBASSADOR YOVANOVITCH DISCUSSES U.S.-ARMENIA RELATIONS WITH STUDENTS

YEREVAN, Armenia, March 3 — The U.S. Embassy issued the following
press release:
On March 3, Ambassador Yovanovitch led an active roundtable discussion
with 14 graduate students at the American University of Armenia,
one of the country’s leading academic institutions. The Ambassador
noted the impact of U.S. assistance to Armenia and stressed the need
for continued cooperation in the areas of economic development,
regional stability, and good governance. Students represented a
range of fields, including public health, law, political science,
and engineering. Ambassador Yovanovitch answered questions and
expressed support for participants’ eagerness to make a significant
contribution in their fields. Students indicated that their education
in an American environment has been tremendously beneficial to their
professional and personal development.
