TERMS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF ARMENIA-USA DIRECT FLIGHT BEING CLARIFIED

YEREVAN, JUNE 26, ARMNPRESS: The terms of implementation of
Armenia-USA direct flight are not yet clarified. Press service of
the Government-affiliated Chief Department of Civil Aviation told
Armenpress that the visit of the American side to Armenia is expected
for the discussions and clarification of the flight terms.
Armenia-USA flight will be conducted by "Armavia" airlines which is at
present conducting preparatory works in that direction, negotiations
are held with a number of companies for purchase of a corresponding
airplane.
The Armenian and USA airlines have an opportunity to conduct a direct
flight within the frameworks of "Air communication" (Open air) treaty
which was signed 21 November 2008 between Armenian and USA governments
in Washington and came into force 16 June this year.
