YEREVAN, JUNE 30, ARMENPRESS: During today’s phone conversation
the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the Armenian
President Serzh Sargsyan. On the occasion of his birthday anniversary
the Russian President has also addressed a congratulatory message to
the Armenian President.

Presidential Press office told Armenpress that the message particularly
says: "Honorable Mr. Sargsyan, I heartily congratulate You on the
55th birthday anniversary.

As a responsible political figure you are doing much in the
socio-economic development of Armenia and increase of its authority
in the international arena. Russia highly assesses your consistent
steps towards the consolidation of strategic partnership between our
states and enhancement of multilateral cooperation.

I warmly remember our latest meetings in Moscow and St. Petersburg. As
always they passed in a constructive and confidence atmosphere and
once more showed that the Armenian-Russian relations have a great
future. I am sure that such a favorable atmosphere will continue to
contribute to the enhancement of political dialogue and cooperation
between Armenia and Russia to the welfare of our states and peoples
and in favor of peace and stability in the region.

Honorable Mr. Sargsyan I heartily wish you a strong health and new
achievements in favor of the Armenian people. I wish happiness and
success to your relatives and friends."

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
