DEPUTY STYOPA SAFARIAN APPLIES TO HOVIK ABRAHAMIAN WITH EXPECTATION TO PROVIDE HIS PARTICIPATION AT PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY OF FRANCOPHONIE

YEREVAN, JULY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. Styopa Safarian, a member of the
Zharangutyun (Heritage) faction of the National Assembly of Armenia
and of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of
the Francophonie, preparing for the Parliamentary Assembly of
the Francophonie to take place in Paris, between July 3 to 8,
was suprised on June 30 when it turned out that his name was not
involved in the list of deputies to participate in the proceedings
of the assembly. No plane tickets were booked for him, no hotel
and business trip expenses are envisaged for him. The latters are
provided based on the NA Speaker’s order. While, as it is mentioned
in the Zharangutyun faction’s statement, spade work is done for ARF
and BHP factions’ representatives Armen Rustamian and Armen Melikian
who are also among the delegation staff.
S. Safarian applied with a letter to NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamian
on the same day, with an expectation of getting explanations on the
issue and urgently providing his participation in the Parliamentary
Assembly of the Francophonie.
