/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Over January-May GDP of CIS countries decreased by 9
per cent on average compared with same period last year, the
Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth reports.
Over January-May, 2009 compared to the same period of last year
Armenia’s GDP declined by 15.7 per cent.. According to the CIS
Statistical Committee, the highest economic growth, 4.4 per cent, over
January-May has been recorded in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan (3.2 per cent)
and Belarus (1.4 per cent).
According to CIS Statistical Committee, in several countries recorded
economic slowdown – in Kyrgyzstan minus 0.9%, in Kazakhstan, minus
5.3%, in Moldova – minus 6.9% and Russia 13.6%.
