PRESIDENT OF CYPRUS VISITS MEMORIAL TO THE VICTIMS OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

ArmInfo. Turkey will not become contemporary state until it has
recognized the Armenian genocide, President of Cyprus Demetris
Christofias said today when visiting the Memorial to the victims of
the Armenian genocide Tsitsernakaberd.

He visited the Memorial accompanied by his wife Elsie Christofia
and laid flowers to the Memorial. Then they visited the Genocide
Museum. The president planted a tree at the Alley of Memory and made an
entry in the Memorial Book, in which he emphasized the necessity of the
Armenian genocide recognition and supporting of Cyprus in this matter.

To recall, president of Cyprus is in Yerevan with a state visit.
