MEDVEDEV’S STATEMENT INSTILS HOPE IN AZERBAIJAN ON KARABAKH – RULING PARTY REP

"During the meeting between Azerbaijani and Russian presidents
optimist statements were made with regards to the settlement of
Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagornyy Karabakh conflict. Especially, the
Russian president’s remarks that the problem will be resolved in the
near future show that the talks process has entered a new stage." the
executive secretary of [ruling] New Azerbaijan Party, Ali Ahmadov,
has said.
According to him, such statement by Russia who is a co-chair of [OSCE]
Minsk Group speaks of serious moments: "We hope that the Nagornyy
Karabakh problem will be resolved soon on the basis of justice and
international legal norms. Such statements increase Azerbaijani
society’s hope in the resolution of the conflict." Ali Ahmadov said.
