Iran Envoy Hopes Arrested Journalist Of Armenian Origin To Be Pardon

IRAN ENVOY HOPES ARRESTED JOURNALIST OF ARMENIAN ORIGIN TO BE PARDONED SOON

[Presenter-read report over video of a news conference] The Iranian
authorities will pardon an Armenian journalist, Silva Harutyunyan,
who was arrested in connection with events in Iran, and international
journalist organizations voiced their protest in connection with this.

Iranian ambassador [to Armenia] Seyyed Ali Saqqa’ian said he is
not aware of a trial and that the judiciary power should provide
a response and that he hopes she will be pardoned soon based on an
application submitted by Silva’s relatives.
