UAF’s 152nd Airlift Delivers $4.7 Million of Aid to Armenia

Glendale, CA – The United Armenian Fund’s 152nd airlift arrived in Yerevan
on July 11, delivering $4.7 million of humanitarian assistance.

For this flight, the UAF itself collected $3.8 million of medicines and
medical supplies donated by: AmeriCares ($2.3 million); Direct Relief
International ($876,000); Health Partners International of Canada
($402,000); and the Catholic Medical Mission Board ($226,000).

Other organizations which contributed goods for this airlift were: Birthlink
of UK ($322,000); Armenian EyeCare Project ($112,000); Dr. Hagop Hovaguimian
($64,000); Dr. Stephen Kashian ($47,000); Hamazkayin Cultural & Educational
Society ($41,000); Hologic Co. ($32,000); and Armenian Missionary
Association of America ($30,000).

Also contributing supplies to this airlift were: Armenian General Benevolent
Union ($18,000); Howard Karagheusian Commemorative Corp. ($15,000); UCLA
Medical Center ($15,000); Armenian American Cultural Foundation ($14,000);
and Armenian Cultural Foundation ($13,000); Society for Orphaned Armenian
Relief ($13,000); Armenian Mission at the UN in New York ($11,000); and Dr.
Albert Phillips ($10,000).

Since its inception in 1989, the UAF has sent $564 million of humanitarian
assistance to Armenia on board 152 airlifts and 1,699 sea containers.

The UAF is the collective effort of the Armenian Assembly of America,
Armenian General Benevolent Union, Armenian Missionary Association of
America, Armenian Relief Society, Diocese of the Armenian Church of America,
Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America, and The Lincy
Foundation.
