TWO SU-100 SUPERJET PLANES TO BE TESTED IN ARMENIA LATE IN AUGUST

ArmInfo. Two SU-100 Superjet, will be tested in Armenia late in August,
Director General of Armavia air company Norayr Belluyan told ArmInfo
correspondent.
To recall, in September 2007 a contract on delivery of two
SU-100 Superjet worth about 50 mln USD to Armavia company was
concluded. Armavia is supposed to become the first air company to
acquire Su-100 aircrafts. Earlier the first deputy chairman of the
Russian Government, Sergey Ivanov said that the two Su- 100 planes
will be tested in Armenian highlands in July.
Belluyan pointed out that the planes should have arrived on July
10, however, due to a number of problems the term was put off till
late August.
The planes will be tested in Yerevan and Gyumri within approximately 2
weeks. Belluyan added that the first of the two planes will be at the
company’s disposal in December 2009, the second one – in February 2010.
At present Armavia air park numbers three Ð~B-319, two Ð~B-320,
an IL-6, a TU-134 and a Boeing 737-300.
