Evaluating the process of the negotiations of the Nagorno-Karabakh
issue settlement, the former NKR minister of defense Samvel Babayan
stated that there is nothing to be concerned about.
He stated that what Azerbaijan wants is impossible to be satisfied,
so we may stay calm, as there is nothing to worry about.
Lragir.am noticed that regardless Samvel Babayan states that no one in
Armenia and Karabakh will satisfy Azerbaijani desires, nevertheless,
there are forces, which express their wish to satisfy those at least
a part of those desires in form of yielding land and discussing the
referendum for status.
"The fact that the Armenian government cedes 7 regions to Azerbaijan
is already a fact. It has always been so. But the question is whether
Azerbaijan taking those seven and will be satisfied. This is the
problems, it does not, it wants 12 including Karabakh. This is the
reason why I said that no one will satisfy its desires", stated
Samvel Babayan.
"And if one day Azerbaijan decides to be content with those
seven?" asked Lragir.am.
"This is the danger, but I know for sure that it does not want only
those 7, that is why I am saying that there is nothing to worry about".
