EXHIBITION OF YURI BAGHDASAROV’S WORKS OPENS IN PYATIGORSK

PYATIGORSK, JULY 27, NOYAN TAPAN – ARMENIANS TODAY. The exhibition of
our compatriot from Kislovodsk Yuri Baghdasarov’s works opened at the
Central City Library of Pyatigorsk (the region of Stavropol). He is a
famous master of printing graphics. Besides, Yuri Baghdasarov is known
in Mineral Waters region of Caucasus as the author of the project
for formation of the Armenian Church of Kislovodsk and the Memory
Bell monument dedicated to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.

Ethnographic collections of books, Armenian people’s and author’s
tales, Fasic Iskander’s works, foreign writers’ novels, from Swift
to Haxel, are among the books illustrated by Yuri Baghdasarov.

According to the Yerkramas newspaper of the Armenians of Russia, during
opening of the exhibition which involves illustrations and portraits,
Yuri Baghdasarov represented the guests his favourite Armenian modern
writer Aghasi Aivazian’s book entitled "Senior Martiros’ travelling"
which was also illustrated by him.
