SEMINAR – CONFERENCE IN GOVERNMENT STAFF

Today, a seminar-conference on theme "Earthquake and Rules of Behaviour
for Protecting from Earthquake" was organized for the employees of the
NKR Government Staff by the seismic protection eastern service adjunct
to the RA Government. Seminars periodically conducted in different
republican departments, educational and other establishments are of
teaching character.

At the beginning, the employee of the service had announced information
about foundation and activity of their organization. The service has
all necessary facilities and laboratory conditions for conducting
corresponding researches. Apartment houses and construction units
in the Republic are built on the basis of the aseismic stability
methods. "Artsakh is considered to be a seismically dangerous zone
and everybody must be ready to withstand to a natural disaster,"
noted the speaker after handing over information about earthquake and
causes of their origination. Participants of the seminar-conference
were interested in the fate of seismically dangerous buildings of
the capital. The speaker clarified that dwelling houses are old and
in major cases their foundations are going down due to additional
constructions, and conclusions given by the service to the examined
buildings from the point of view of their seismic solidity given to
the examined buildings are in disposal of the Government. In case of
earthquake human losses will be prevented or minimized if all spheres
conduct their activities observing safety regulations.
