MODERN GRAPHICS AND SCULPTURE PRESENTED IN THE ARTISTS’ HOUSE

YEREVAN, JULY 31, ARMENPRESS: Today in the first floor of the big
hall of the Armenian Artists’ House the graphics and sculpture big
exhibition of the members of the Artists’ Union took place, which
appears their unique report on the work done in the latest period.

Opening the exhibition, Chairman of the Armenian Artists’ Union
Karen Aghamyan said that the current exhibition not only gives the
opportunity of watching the works, but the authors working in different
places are enabled to meet and communicate as well.

Sculptor, professor Gagik Ghazaryan said that the selection took a
long time, as the idea of presenting the exhibition was developed
last year, December. The jury selected 74 sculptures out from over
130 ones. The same thing was done in graphic genre as well.

The Chairman of the Armenian Artists’ Union stated that the exhibition
will operate till the beginning of autumn, and in August 7 its
discussion will take place.
