Today, a session of the Armenian government took place headed by
the Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. During the session,
the RA government commanded the decisions, which set the start of
the North-South road corridor. For the fulfillment of the project
calculations, the Armenian government allocated 18 million 500
thousand drams from the Armenian reserve fund on the condition to
take this sum from the Asian bank and to return it until 2009. For
the first stage of the construction, over 700 million dollar will be
needed. The North-South road will correspond to the best international
measurements, stated the Prime Minister. By another decision of
the government, a directorship of the railway construction was set
up. The Armenian government commanded the project of changes and
amendments to the concessionary contract of the transition of the
Armenian Railways to the South-Caucasian railways CJSC. The need for
these changes created during the Armenian and Russian negotiations.
