Azerbaijani anti-Armenian propaganda becomes marasmic. This time they
decided to liberate Karabakh creating partisan detachments. Those
Azeri who participated in Karabakh war stated they will form partisan
detachments joined under "Azerbaijani liberation army" name, Vesti.az
reports. According to their sources National Hero of Azerbaijan Rasim
Akberov(released from prison last year) will be in the forefront of
the detachments.
"Karabakh war participants approved of this idea, however my health
state disabled to accomplish it. Now I feel good and decided to create
this army,’ Akberov said, adding: "Azerbaijani patriots cannot stand
the developments in the Karabakh issue; we consider it impossible to
cede the enemy and create partisan movement. I declare Azerbaijani
Liberation Army to be the part of national army and we will do our
best to become the advance guard of Azerbaijani army."
In 2000 Akberov was charged with the attempt of coup d’etat and
sentenced to imprisonment. He was released in August 26, 2008 under
the amnesty.
