Colorado Governor Bill Ritter proclaimed August 5th Genocide Awareness
Day, Armenian National Committee informs. "Armenian Genocide is a
real thing. Genocide should not be the part of our world in the twenty
first century. It is imperative that we recognize what has happened,
so we can ensure it will not happen again", the Governor stated.

"We salute the efforts of Governor Ritter directed toward the
genocide stopping age, demanding Armenian Genocide to divestment
from the genocidal regime in Sudan – through education and action,"
said Aram Hamparyan, ANCA Executive Director.
