/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Turkey supports Armenian-Turkish ties normalization
process, Alexander Sotnichenko, leading analyst of St. Petersburg
Center for Middle East Studies, told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent.
`To the best of my knowledge, Armenians are allowed to visit Turkey
despite the close border,’
Russian expert said, noting in the meantime that the railroad
connecting Armenia and Turkey will soon be set to operation, playing
an essential role in Armenia’s economy.
`I hope Russia will be able to act as mediator in Armenian-Turkish
ties normalization process,’ Sotnichenko said, adding that Caucasus is
a `delicate matter’ requiring a relevant approach.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
