ArmInfo. US Embassy in Georgia, quoting which a number of the mass
media disseminated an information about the alleged appointment
of Matthew Bryza US ambassador to Azerbaijan, did not make such a
statement, spokeswoman of US Embassy in Armenia Taguhi Jakhukyan
told ArmInfo.

‘In fact, the information about appointment of M. Bryza US ambassador
to Azerbaijan is disinformation. Bryza himself did not make such
statements in Georgia either’, the spokeswoman said.

To note, the information about ‘appointment’ of OSCE MG American
Cochairman Matthew Bryza US ambassador to Azerbaijan has been actively
exaggerated in the mass media of late. At the recent press-conference
in Armenia Bryza said he left the post of US Assistant Secretary of
State for Europe and Eurasia.

The interest to the position of the American mediator is probably
warmed up by his remark regarding the hope for his new position to
be connected with a region.

Nevertheless, the information about appointment of M. Bryza ambassador
to Azerbaijan is not confirmed at the official website of the White
House either.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
