The International Hrant Dink Foundation has organized an open film
project on the topic of conscience. Short films can be submitted till
30 November and will be assessed by a jury formed by Costa Gavras
and Georges Moustaki.
The theme of "conscience" is based upon a quote of the Turkish-Armenian
journalist Hrant Dink, who was assassinated in 2007. He had said:
"The voice of common sense and of conscience has been sacrificed,
now this conscience tries to find a way out."
The films can be uploaded to the project’s website and will be
evaluated by the jury before they are going to be broadcast.
Members of the jury are Costa Gavras, Georges Moustaki, Harutyun
Khachatryan, Ýbrahim Betil, Lale Mansur, Nebahat Akkoc, Omer Madra,
Rakel Dink, Rela Mazali, Serge Avedikian, Serra Yýlmaz, Vaughan
Pilikian and Yýldýrým Turker.
Of all the submitted movies 20 films will be chosen and edited into
one long movie.
Short movies can be submitted from 1 August to 30
November. Participation is open to everyone, previous film experience
is not required.
The movies should be in Turkish, English, or Armenian. Further details
