Family of the Armenian MP Khachatur Sukiasyan’s (wanted by police)
and "Bjni" mineral water factory representatives appealed to European
Court of Human Rights. Factory’s loss was estimated at over USD $124
mln, family lawyer Ara Zohrabyan told Radio Liberty.

According to him, company still incurs losses, currently calculated
by Sil Concern.

The lawyer stated that appeal comprises two cases brought against Bjni
factory by Armenian courts. "The facts underlying the proceedings
indicate that public authorities administered arbitrary behavior
toward of Bjni factory," Zohrabyan said, adding that mineral water
factory case assumes political overtone.

The persecutions of Sukiasyan’s family started once MP joined
opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan in 2008 February presidential
race.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
