NOYEMBERIAN, AUGUST 17, NOYAN TAPAN. The works of reconstruction of
the hospital of Noyemberian, the region of Tavush, started this July,
on the initiative of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. The program is
co-sponsored by the Fund’s German, Australian, Swiss and Lebanese
local bodies. The German Union of Armenian Physicians and Healthcare
Professionals will provide medical equipment.

According to the Fund, preparatory works on demolishing and laying
the foundations on the territory of 2600 meters square are in process
at the moment. The building is to be put into operation in 2010 autumn.

"It is gratifying that our compatriots living abroad continue having
united and inflexible participation in the progress of our country
what is possible only in the conditions of having a healthy society,"
Executive Director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Ara Vardanian
says.

According to chief physician of the hospital Henrik Haroutiunian,
the hospital serving 1.400 patients per year, attending patients
from the region of Lori as well, was built in 1966 and appeared in
the state of disrepair during the time. "We expect serious changes
in the sphere of service of the hospital after this "operation,"
the chief physician says.
