Orange County Armenian Festival Guests Give Straight "As" in Customer
Satisfaction Survey

Laguna Hills, CA (Wednesday, August 19, 2009) – With 441 guests responding
to a recent written customer satisfaction survey, the Orange County Armenian
Festival was rated at 92 percent or higher in food, entertainment,
cleanliness and overall, the first customer-focused survey of its kind taken
in an ethnic festival in North America. "We are committed to
professionalism and quality first and foremost." said Paul Aslanian,
Founding Executive Director.

"It was an innovative approach to our commitment to quality," said Tom
Kalajian, a festival organizer. "We put our festival skills to the ultimate
test our with our guests, and we were glad we did." He continues, "Now we
know what works well and how to continuously improve the festival experience
for our guests." True to its written mission statement, survey results
showed over half of festival guests were non-Armenians. Aslanian explains,
"It means the cultural richness of the Armenian people is being successfully
shown to the general public, not limited only to Armenians who already know
about us."

Based on survey comments, guests new to the Armenian culture proved its
widespread appeal with rave reviews such as, "Very Good," "Loved it," "So
Cool!," "Bring this event back next year," "Wonderful!" and "First timers –
fabulous," and, "Armenians are beautiful people." Survey results also
showed that the Festival appealed to more than Orange County residents, as
many listed addresses in greater Los Angeles County, and some from Riverside
County, and further distant locations in Southern California.

Guests consistently ranked all four survey categories at or above 92 percent
satisfaction, equivalent to a grade of "A." Survey statistics showed that
the greatest proportion of guests arrived with friends and family,
suggesting that the demographic is heavily slanted toward families with
traditional family values.

First organized in 2005, the Armenian Festival of Orange County is the
pioneer in modern Armenian festival production. It is the first festival
offering its guests tent-covered seating, bussed tables, full time
sanitation crew, professional 24-hour security protection, two performance
stages, convenient, ample free parking, multiple live musical and dance
groups, children’s programs, and the first in North America established as
an unaffiliated, independent pan-Armenian non-profit public California
charitable corporation. It is bound by published core values and a mission
statement, which emphasize that all Armenian community non-profit
organizations are welcome each year to come together, cooperate,
collaborate, participate, promote their organization and raise funds for
their own benefit programs. The festival organizers are all unpaid
community volunteers representing a broad spectrum of the Armenian
community. The festival donates funds each year to Armenian organizations
and educational programs.

The 5th annual 2009 festival will be held at the same beautiful park-like
location on the weekend of September 12 and 13, 2009, at the Laguna Hills
Community Center, 25555 Alicia Parkway, in Laguna Hills, CA 92653. Ample,
convenient parking is free. Laguna Hills is an upscale community in
affluent Orange County, California. The festival site is approximately 1
mile west of the Alicia Parkway exit on the 5 freeway, about 20 minutes
south of Disneyland.

The 2009 festival features two live Armenian bands, the John Bilezikjian
Band and the Knar Band, on both Saturday and Sunday, two stages for
simultaneous performances, cultural exhibits and demonstrations, guest
singers, dance groups, Armenian dance lessons, affordable and delicious
Armenian food, covered seating for over 600 guests, covered main state and
dance floor under a large tent, kids zone with cotton candy, multiple
jumpers, multiple games and prizes, with great shopping for adults and
wholesome, affordable enjoyment for the whole family.

Advertisers, booth merchants or sponsors seeking an opportunity to reach
this target market, or those interested in supporting the festival’s mission
and purpose are encouraged to call the festival hot line at 888-HYE-FEST
(888-493-3378) or 949-309-2900, or log on the festival web site at

facilitate the arrangements.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
