TEHRAN-YEREVAN CRASH CAUSE ESTABLISHED

Sudden engine stoppage is the cause of Tehran-Yerevan aircraft crash.

RA General Department of Civil Aviation at RA Government (GDCA)
Press Secretary Nelly Cherchinyan stated it was declared by
the investigating committee. The aircraft underwent technical
inspection at the Mineralnye Vody (Russia) airport 24 days before
the accident. Overloading was refuted to be a cause of the accident.

On July 15 at 11:33a.m. local time the 7908 Caspian Airlines TU-154
plane crashed on the Iranian territory with 168 passengers aboard,
including 15 crew members. All the passengers reported dead. There
were 37 Armenians on the board, of which 5 – citizens of the Republic
of Armenia.
