/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Sculptural composition consisting of figures of
a Caucasian Cossac woman, Armenian and Adyghei will symbolize the
hospitable and multinational town of Sochi. Composition will be soon
erected near the new air terminal complex of Adler airport, Krasnodar
region’s department dealing with arrangement of 2014 Winter Olympic
Games reported.

Initiative for creating such symbols was proposed by Sochi Mayor
Anatoly Pakhomov.

Thus, Olympic Sochi’s stela-symbol with pointers indicating names
of and distances from 12 Olympic capitals was erected near Riviera
city park. "What unites us is the great Olympic idea which recognizes
no state borders and distances. That’s the idea of kindness, unity
and humanism," Mayor stated. "A rare guest in the resort town will
certainly desire to be photographed next to Olympic stela," ITAR TASS
quotes project author as saying.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
